3 Great Places For Singles To Meet Other Singles

In the 21st century, a common challenge for many singles is where to find suitable dates.   Think about it, how often has a serious relationship began by meeting someone in a bar or club?

Yes, I'm sure it happens, but bars and clubs are infamously known as "meat markets" for a reason. Also, if you are like me, the bar/club circuit may just not be your scene.

So, where can you go to find eligible, like-minded other singles?  Here are three great places to try. Some are obvious and others may have slipped under your radar:

1. Online Dating Sites    Online dating has become one of the fastest growing sectors on the internet.   Many singles are turning to online dating mainly because of the amount of control they have in the entire process - and the online dating industry has taken notice!  Whether you are a book worm, love scifi, are deeply involved with environmental issues, etc., there are online dating services tailored to meet your interests. At such sites, the chances of you meeting another like-minded date are very favorable.
2. Charity Events  This one may not seem so obvious, but it is a great place to meet someone who shares the same passion for a subject you care deeply about too. Plus, it will make breaking the ice that much easier.
3. At Your Place Of Worship  This one may be the most obvious on the list, but many people have met their future partners at their place of worship.  Meeting someone who shares your spiritual beliefs may make dating in the beginning a little less akward because your core values may be so similar.

Of course, honorable mentions should be given to both sporting events and meetings of organizations such as book clubs. The point is, meeting other eligible singles may not be as difficult as you may have thought.  Just remember to think out-of-the-box a little and have fun!
